Well, we have already debated it here.If Mcn is older than Luke (that is the central claim), and if at the same time numerous Mcn readings appear as variants in the Luke manuscripts (that is undisputed), then these variants have a pre-New Testament origin and represent a pre-New Testament text.
- Klinghardt does not problematize what can really be considered a text variant of GMarcion or is perhaps just a false testimony of Tertullian or Epiphanius.
- Klinghardt does not problematize the fact that attestations by Tertullian, Epiphanius and others do not concern the original version of GMarcion, but a later copy with later text variants.
All of this becomes particularly difficult in Klinghardt's own model. If GMarcion is just a gospel that was later used by Marcion, it has three different lines of transmission: the transmission with different text variants before Marcion and outside his church, the transmission within Marcion's church as GMarcion and the separate transmission as part of GLuke. In addition to this, there are the harmonisations with each other and harmonisations with GMatthew and GMark.
Once again, Klinghardt is simply making allegations.
