I admire the attempt to achieve a mathematically proved argument, but I just think it's seriously misguided. I can see you playing around with this method for decades without ever getting closer to the truth. I thought this immediately when I first heard Carrier. The social sciences just do not reduce so easily to formulas. Major breakthroughs will come by reevaluating assumptions, not crunching the numbers on what has been written. That is how progress is made in the hard sciences too, actually; see Kuhn.
