I think I am getting to the point where the handling of "the gospel" in Adversus Marcionem is so familiar and so intimate there are only two real possibilities:

1. the Marcionites had a gospel of Luke which was literally stolen from the orthodox with MINOR subtractions and vague additions. So it was Luke with some "upgrades"
or
2. Irenaeus just made up a story about Luke being the Marcionite gospel and wrote Adversus Marcionem as if Marcion could be refuted out of the portions of Luke which he still retained and Tertullian adapted this original Greek text into his Latin edition.
