Marcion does not put the Jewish accusations in the light of “forgeries against Jesus,” but in the light of “the true, literal claims of the Jews.” I mean, just as Marcion believed that all the claims of the Old Testament and the Jews about the Jewish Messiah are historical and true,
he also puts the accusations here as implicitly true. Not because he loved the Jews or the Old Testament, but only to support his divine dualism.
