13:7:
When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

The best example of "rumor of wars" in my opinion is the hearsay about revolts in Cyrene. The requisite of remote distance is satisfied, just as the Messianic ambition of the rebels (Lukuas). Josephus himself talks about the revolts in Cyrenaica as a mere digression from the principal theater.

So 13:7 helps greatly to place a further interval of time after the Kitos War.

Simon of Cyrene is a good example of someone coming from a marginal Diasporic region.
