Hi Sean, it may be interesting for you that our former member Ben C. Smith once pointed out to Bernard that "after three days" in biblical usage can very well mean "on the third day". Bernard had cited many examples to support his argument, but Ben also provided some counterexamples.
Yes, I agree that your view has a lot of support. I am saying that there appear to be some clear exceptions. It may be a case of a majority versus a minority view.

If we accept the theory that Luke and Matthew used GMark as a source, then, given the similarities between the stories up to the empty tomb and the differences after that, we can assume that Luke and Matthew probably knew the end of Mark's Gospel at verse 16:8. The development you assume would then have to take place between an original version of GMark and the writing of GMatthew and GLuke.
