Tertullus to Felix:

5 “for having found this man [to be] a troublemaker, & stirring riots among all the Jews in the world; a leader1 then of the Nazarene sect; 6 and even tried to desecrate the temple; so we seized him ..."
.

αἱρέσεως is the genitive of αἵρεσις
  • Wiktionary gives several meanings for αἵρεσις
    1. choice, selection
    2. purpose
    3. system of principles
    4. (philosophy, religion) a school of thought, sect
    5. (Christianity, Koine) a heresy
    6. taking, receiving
Paul doesn't get called a αἱρεσιώτης (hairesiṓtēs), a heretic, or described by the adjective αἱρετικός, meaning heretic or heretical,

1 though of course he's called πρωτοστάτην, the accusative of πρωτοστατης, meaning:
  1. a 'leader,' 'chief,' 'one who stands first,' or a 'right-hand-man'
