Chrestus is a pun on Christus being the "good one": Marcionism is meant.
Do you think Suetonius recognized a pun here?
he or his source, yes. I assume, with Carrier, that Suetonius and Tacitus are meaning the same guy.

Even today we talk about the "Good Samaritan", but the Samaritan is never called "Good" in the *Ev's parable. What do you think was the origin of a such appellative for the Samaritan of the parable?
